Who you trade depends more on what is being offered than anything else. I really don't think Lou's contract is the albatross it is made out to be. In 5-6 years the cap will be up substantially and his real dollars will be down, making him appealing to any team trying to hit the floor.

I think Schroeder keeps his job on the 3rd line, with Raymond and maybe Higgins. Weise goes back to the 4th line with Malhotra and Volpatti and Kesler plays with Burrows and Hansen.

1970 vintage

He goes nowhere. That's exactly the type of player you want in the playoffs. Hits, wins draws, can stifle defensively and chips in with the odd goal.

I agree .

We were discussing Kesler seems ready to return, who will be the odd man out.

I think you've missed the point that it was made clear that Luongo was no longer the #1 after the last two playoffs and that Schneider was the future... then he gets thrown under the bus at the first opportunity and Lu starts to play well so he'll sit for a week at a time...

This has been terribly handled by management.

Anyways, was discussing Lu while watching him on Friday and here's the key to his success: no pressure. FLA was a bad hockey market and nobody cared if they didn't get to the playoffs or win anything. VAN does and the pressure mounted. The notorious goalie graveyard put so much pressure on Lu that he cracked. Now, he's expected to get moved because he's not the number 1 goalie anymore and he plays like a monster.

Should start calling him Low-Pressure Lu, that's when he's best.

Burrows goes back to wing. Manny and Lappy rotate 4th line depending on who's healthy and/or hot. Schroeder 3rd line.
